Welcome to my Caterham 420R SV Build Blog!

If you've not heard of me, I'm Brownmonster on the Caterham and Lotus Forums. I've always wanted to build my own car and I've finally reached a point where I can actually go out and do it. I've done a fair bit of research on building these machines already, there are a lot of resources out there to help. I have documented pretty much everything I have done related to the car since ordering the kit (building, iva, upgrading, maintaining and driving), I hope you find it useful.

I decided that after struggling to navigate other blogs, I would make this site be navigated mainly through a Build Index. The index will give you a quick breakdown of all the tasks I've performed in a small readable list. You can also head over to the Build Blog section instead if you prefer pretty pictures organised in chronological order. Since starting this blog, I have been back to alot of the pages many times, so it is really handy for me as a reference, even if it did just start as a bit of fun. What I will say is that using other blogs as a reference can be confusing and some actually make tasks appear harder than they perhaps actually are. I dare say it will be the same with my blog for others, but the more information that is out there, the better.
